The first General Assembly of the Ecoscope Project was succesfully completed

The general assembly meeting of the EcoScope Project was a success and presented some very interesting developments. Over 50 people, representing 24 partners, met at the offices of CLS Sustainable Fisheries Management in Toulouse, France, for three days to discuss future work.

The four-year project addresses ecosystem degradation and anthropogenic impact that cause fisheries to be unsustainably exploited in several European Seas. EcoScope promotes efficient, holistic, sustainable, ecocentric fisheries management that will aid towards restoring fisheries sustainability and ensure balance between food security and healthy seas. 

The consortium, which received funding through the EU Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme, is comprised of 24 partners from Greece, Bulgaria, Germany, Canada, Israel, Philippines, Spain France, Belgium, UK, Portugal, Italy, Netherlands, Malta, Norway, Switzerland and Cyprus. The partners include universities and research institutions, NGO’s, technology companies and businesses.
